I am writing this today to express my disappointment in the amount I had to pay Softron in Brampton, for services rendered in the preparation and filing of my 2017 tax return.

As a loyal client for the past 7 - 8 years, I find your expertise and knowledge commendable, which is why I have been using your services. However, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, I had my taxes done and very much to my surprise at the completion, I was presented with an invoice for $339.00, one, I might add that was quickly printed off in an adjacent area. I just about fell off my chair, as I was expecting to pay about $85.00. I even brought a coupon with me for a $5.00 discount.

This was a straight forward tax return. Nothing complicated about this. I was asked if I had sold any property in 2017, for which I responded yes, and I had already checked with my bank manager to ensure I was not involved in capital gains as the property was my primary residence. To add insult to injury, at no time was I made aware that this years" tax return would cost a significant amount more. I was quickly offered a $39 discount.

My question is "Does Softron just make up amounts randomly for services rendered.? Of course I paid by debit, as I felt I had no choice.

I did some research and have learned that the competition in Brampton charges between $45.00 and $90.00 for my tax return.

So Softron...what gives? I expect to be compensated $200.00 or credited that amount for future returns, if you want to continue or business relationship.

Softron Newmarket office has very amazing staff. Sam the manager reviewed all the documents to make sure its all properly done and no receipt is missing.

Hi We Becareful with this tax office. They are not trasperant.

If you go there for enquiry, they do something add or remove in the tax returens without your consent and charge you at the end. Their aim is to extract money if any cutomer incase go and contact them.

Had my taxes done almost 6 weeks they *** up big time cost me $90 was told wrong amount refund and haven't received anything they blame it on the government been with them for 10yrs never going back

Very very bad service at the softron location on hurontario,they staff there is just rude and the charge way too much to do your taxes when ask why you paying so much they cant give u a valid reason ,people stay away dont go there please please,we had to pay $175.00 for couple and a child ,so bad service

My BF went to them, they told him he would be receiving a refund of $2400. After doing the calculations and after speaking to the CRA.

The actual amount is actually $700 less. They even told them here at their Ottawa, ON location that he'd have the money within 4 weeks. Which according to the CRA, it wouldn't be until Sept. I and my partner plan to go to the Ottawa Police Service and have the woman working for False Pretences ( ie: Sec.

382.3 of the Criminal Code of Canada). Technically is Fraud.

I was interviewed and hired for a Coop placement. There is first a course one must take, then an exam, and then training, before finally qualifying as an employee. And everyone working has had previous university education.

In this respect, I find the prep for employees is good. In Ottawa, the work force is diverse in ethnicity and age, and there are employees who speak many languages fluently, including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and much more.

Yes, over-time isn't paid, but one is paid during breaks, so it makes sense. Just don't work over-time. Simple.

The work environment is positive, and everyone gets along.

The only thing to criticize would be the state of the offices. In need of remodeling.

I will never go back to softron JAKe this guy at thew meadowvale location did our 2013 and tell us he sent in a transfer to transfer the Dtc from mine to husband back in february and ive been waiting to hear back I called revenue canada my self and they informed me softron never sent them any such letter or adjustment as after all this waiting I had to do it myself after jake telling us we were owed all this money back which was not true and since feb we are still waiting on our 2013 to be finished

My original comment cut off. Anyways I was told that a lump some payment from CPP would be calculated by softron.

It was not in fact this is done by Revenue Canada. The gent. did do my 2012 tax review as well as adding a renter. He said it would not be to my advantage to write anything off.

All in all for 20 minutes of work and his constant staring at whatever ( maybe for not making his quota for the day) I was charged $378.00. I honestly think for whatever reasons he had as well as being a woman I was taken.

The owner so called Jake(jack *** of Punjab),a discrase to the honest people of punjab, i worked for him for six years at minimal pay and refusing to pay overtime for all the workers for all the years, if any one complain will be fired, he always press on gouging tax preparation fees, he worship the dollar has disrespect to even members of his own family, has foul language irrogant attitude, he is amastermind of tricks and khaning.I urge all ex workers to file a law suit to a labour lawyer and sign a petition against his company, he also accuses any worker of stealing his customers.

The workers at Softron tax discriminate against different races they are all very rude. Not honest people at all the lady today actually told me that the lowest price they would ever charge for a tax return is $125 then I called square one location and the lady there told me $50 then I call head office and that lady told me $40 and asks me if I don't have anything better to do and that I'm just wasting mine and their time I thought that was very rude.

They all stick together and discriminate against people and that's wrong half of them can't even speak properly and they want to give attitude to everyone but their kind. Softron tax is a very prejudiced company that needs to be shut down. People need to stop giving them their money. Go to H&R block where it's a multiracial environment we live in a multiracial country where it is against the law to discriminate against one another nobody is better than nobody.

To think of it....

They discriminate and take people's money but yet if we were to stop going to them they wouldn't make any money and would have to shut down cause one kind alone isnt enough to stay in business if that's the game they want to play. We live in a multiracial world if you don't like it then leave.
